Elvey Security Technologies hosted a breakfast seminar with Corné Krige, a former South African rugby player, were over 300 in total, Elvey customers attended the breakfast in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. Again, Elvey’s motivation for the breakfast was bringing customers together and allowing a morning of socialising and inspiration.

CEO of Elvey, Jack Edery welcomed guests with a hearty thanks to everyone for taking time out from their busy schedules to join Elvey for the event and thus making it a success. Corné has written a book, The Right Place at The Wrong Time, which is an autobiography covering his career at Western Province, the injuries that plagued him, his captaincy of the Springboks and playing English Club Rugby. With customary frankness, he gives an insider’s account of controversial topics that plague South African rugby. In his presentation Mr. Krige spoke about how to achieve a great team, which he thinks is reliant on great individual performances through applying principles from five key areas: team excellence, personal responsibility, accountability to your organisation, accountability to your customer and the effects of team power. These basic principles work in any environment – business or sport. Employees need to have these qualities and practice them in their working environment. He used a very powerful quote: “Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can’t, the other half who have nothing to say keep on saying it” by Robert Frost. Communication is very important in any working environment to achieve a great team.

Elvey actively provides customers with the latest information related to current issues and creating good working environments for their staff. Elvey says it will continue working closely with suppliers to provide the best security equipment available to satisfy the varying needs of customers.
